Andalucía Suena: a map of songs about real Andalusian villages
A song for every place
Andalucía Suena is a series of songs in which each one is born in a real place in Andalusia: a village, a beach, a mountain range. Every song comes with a short story, written in the first person by the creator, explaining what he wanted to say about that place.
The songs are generated with AI and directed by one producer. Most are sung in Spanish, and some are instrumental.
The map that paints itself
The map shows the outline of Andalusia’s eight provinces and its 785 municipalities. A village lights up as soon as its story is published, so the map fills in as the series grows. You can tap a lit village to read its story and play its song.
The interactive map and the stories are in Spanish. The village names are the same in every language, so you can use it without reading anything: look for a place you know, and press play.
How far it has got
At the time of writing, in October 2026, there are around a hundred songs, organised by province:
- Huelva: every one of the 80 municipalities of the province has its own song. Huelva Suena.
- Cádiz: the series is under way. Cádiz Suena.
- Seville: the series is under way. Sevilla Suena.
- The rest of Andalusia is still waiting to light up.
Frequently asked questions
Are the places in the songs real?
Yes. Each song is tied to a real place in Andalusia, and the title of the song is the name of the place.
Do I need to read Spanish to enjoy it?
No. The map is visual, the village names are the same in any language and the music plays on its own. The stories can be read with your browser’s translation.
Is the music played by people?
No. It is generated with AI and directed by one producer. The station says so openly.
