Rain on Tin

[00:37.47]The first drop hits the tin above my head
[00:46.33]Second one follows where the first one led
[00:55.33]Porch light flickers, moths don't seem to mind
[01:03.01]Some things get better the slower you unwind
[01:09.53]Let it come down
[01:12.75]And I ain't in a hurry to be someplace new
[01:17.33]Just this old chair and a sky the color of blue, gray hue
[01:26.37]Thirty summers taught me what to let go through
[01:34.93]Rain on tin, thunder rolling slow
[01:40.03]Every drop's a clock I don't need to know
[01:43.34]Nowhere to be
[01:47.80]Let it pour, let the evening sink in deep
[01:56.63]This is a kind of quiet a man gets to keep
[02:10.59]My daddy sat right here some years gone by
[02:15.19]Same kind of storm, same kind of tea
[02:20.30]Now I'm the one who feels this chair
[02:24.49]Passing down a piece that's hard to wear
[02:28.46]Slow down now
[02:33.45]And I ain't in a hurry to be someplace new
[02:37.64]Just this old chair and a sky the color of blue, gray hue
[02:46.73]Thirty summers taught me what to let go through
[02:55.34]Rain on tin, thunder rolling slow
[03:00.32]Every drop's a clock I don't need to know
[03:03.62]Nowhere to be
[03:08.20]Let it pour, let the evening sink in deep
[03:17.32]This is a kind of quiet a man gets to keep
[03:27.42]Ain't chasing nothing louder than this sound
[03:32.18]The kind of peace that don't get talked about
[03:35.34]Let the guitar hum along with the rain
[03:40.35]Some songs don't need a single word of pain
[04:29.62]Rain on tin, thunder rolling slow
[04:36.78]Yeah, let it pour
[04:38.71]Rain on tin
