Anchored Now
[00:36.52] The hull's been dry since the second of June [00:41.01] Barnacles traded for pewter spoons [00:45.38] Forty years I chased the same gray line [00:49.07] Now the horizon just waits, and that's fine (Let it rest now) [00:58.20] And I ain't mourning the nets I used to throw [01:03.01] Just listening close to a tide I already know [01:11.08] Some men keep swimming [01:14.28] Long after they should let go [01:20.25] Anchor down, salt still in my hands [01:25.10] Learn the sea don't care where a good man lands [01:29.80] Let the boat rock gentle in the bay [01:34.20] I already caught what I came here to save [01:48.06] My son asked why I don't sail out no more [01:52.61] I tell him the answer's right here on this shore [01:56.84] There's a kind of catch you can't weigh or sell [02:00.67] Sitting still and knowing your own life well (Take your time, boy) [02:09.91] And I ain't mourning the nets I used to throw [02:14.65] Just listening close to a tide I already know [02:22.75] Some men keep swimming [02:26.11] Long after they should let go [02:32.06] Anchor down, salt still in my hands [02:36.78] Learn the sea don't care where a good man lands [02:41.42] Let the boat rock gentle in the bay [02:45.86] I already caught what I came here to save [03:09.78] Thirty years of storms taught me how to stand [03:14.37] Now I let the quiet take me by the hand [03:18.78] There's no medal for a man who just comes home [03:22.90] But there's peace in never feeling all alone [03:53.64] Anchor down... Yeah... Let it rock...
